For everyday use it's near useless. This skin is over priced but it does do a fine job. The clear cover is a nice addition but only when i have it in my motorcycle bag.
It does keep dirt inside the case if you happen to get it in there and the chrome bezel has some finite scratches on it, not a big deal. The screen protector got a lot of use in the beginning, but over time i stopped using that as well. Cleans up with a little water. Love this case. Get this case if you have that Original iPhone and want to keep it safe. Its starting to rip on the front side on the corners of the screen area from removing and putting on the case, but it has not compromised the protection of the phone. Dropped my phone several times since I've put it on, and before i put it on. I wish they had attached the plug cover to the case, i have since lost mine, but that was a nice feature.
I would avoid the black color and go with something that showed less dust if at all possible. However the rubber, especially in the black color attacts a lot of dust. There is a constant white haze around the phone. Nice case and arrived as expected. The rubber also "sticks" in my pocket, but I expected that it would. I wanted a port cover to keep the dust out of the ports. I got the case becasue I keep the phone in my pocket. It does that.
I had already ordered a different brand of screen protector which I like better and have that on the screen.The reason I ordered this cover was a friend of mine had one and after all the ones I had personally looked at, this seemed to be the sturdiest, which would offer the most protection to my phone.So if you are considering buying this, I can't see how you will not be happy. But because it's all plastic, I can not recommend the clip to anyone.So this review is two fold, to say the Revo Nighthawk iPhone case is a great one, even though you can get cheaper and probably won't use the accessories that come with it. If the clip was made with an all metal swivel joint, it would be the perfect belt clip to house the Nighthawk. THEN I read reviews about their construction. A very poor design for a very nice clip. Just be aware that it is more money and you probably won't use the other things that come with it.
But it's to also warn you off from buying their great looking belt clip elsewhere that will break with the least little hook or tweak on anything. I won't repeat the already great information provided by the other purchasers of the Revo iSkin case for the iPhone. I agree with most of the opinions shared here. The clip is history.
Hook your belt clip on anything, as I did, and snap. There is one metal piece in the clip but it is a spring. But only on defective workmanship, NOT on breakage while using. You can find better belt clips or iPhone cases right here at Amazon.
They won't replace the clip because it was poorly designed and manufactured and breaks when the least pressure is put on it from force. The Revo belt clip, which I do not believe is available on Amazon.com, looks great, holds the phone perfectly, and I was very happy with it.until it broke. In other words, they will only replace the clip if it's defective in someway. I bought the Nighthawk for my 2.5 iphone and can't be happier with the protection it provides.I don't use the privacy screen, which seems pretty useless to me.
Their website warranty says they have a life time warranty on the clip. The joint and swivel for the clip are all plastic, not metal. Or maybe you will.I bought the Revo belt clip from iSkin so I could keep my iPhone on my belt as I have all my other cell phones. And it's very easy to break.
I've dropped my phone a few times with it in this case and have had no problems at all. The only reason I'm replacing my first one is that I have a tear on the top left corner that's causing it to fit a little loosely. I definitely feel like it's protected my investment and it's the only one I'm considering for my second protector. I've had this on my iPhone for 10 months now, and I'm a hardcore iPhone user. I bought this the day I bought my iPhone, and I wouldn't carry one without it.
